A GOOGLE MAP OF BURGESS HILL PLAYGROUNDS

I've not disappeared. On this particular Friday I swapped the gentle byways of the South Downs for the drama of North Wales, the Glyderau and the Carneddau.

After a wet time in Chester, we had a rather beautiful time in the hills with sunshine and views. Despite a few long ones in Burgess Hill, my legs were not very good after one particular long descent. What's additionally more than a little frustrating, is that this is not the first time coming down from Pen Yr Ole Wen. Many use this scrambling route as a rather direct ascent but, some years before, after a particularly tiring time, myself and the man child had a a bit of an argument following a trek from Carnedd Daffyd. I pelted off down this route in a rage. I can't for the literal life of me work out how I managed to do this without dying.

All the more reason to add a few more hills to my West Sussex repertoire. In my absence, I give you an interactive map of all the playgrounds in Burgess Hill. It could probably do with a little update as I formed it, complete with sarcy comments, during holiday time with the kids on their bikes when they were quite wee.
